    Posted: 11 Jan 2007 at 6:52am
I have built a stacked Bar chart in Crystal XI with 5 data values per bar.
I want to change 2 of these value series to LINES, instead of having them all on the stacked bar.

When I create these two lines, the SECOND line series shows a cumulative value (ie, it includes the value of points on the first line as well as its own), just as it would if it were still on the stacked bar.

All the examples of this (in Help, books, online tutorials) show this type of combo chart with ONLY ONE line along with a stacked bar, so they never address the problem of what to do if you want a second (or third, etc.) line.

Does Crystal not support multiple lines in a combo chart? or is there a place where I can turn off the accumulation for lines while leaving it for the bars?

My solution was to make 2 charts - one with the bars and onewith all the lines and then superimpose them one on top of the other. This takes some careful alignment, but once done it works the way I want.

The remaining problem is to synchronize the scales.
