Hi,

I have created an SQL (Desktop engine) instance using MSDE with SAPWD.
I am not able to logon to this sever from crystal report 4.6, though I am able
to logon SQL server with blank password.
I am in trouble since Desktop egine does not allow to create instance with blank password.

What could be the reason? Can any one help me ?

Regards

By default the free (Express / MSDE) Sql servers do not allow remote access.  You have to enable remote access.  For Express it is the surface area configuration tool.  For MSDE  Svrnetcn.exe.  The client and server Libraries also must match, they should unless you have made a change.  The Native client for Express may also need to be installed on the client computer.
