in tutorial 3-6: Dynamic Grouping Fields, there was an indication that the

"Sales by Country and Products type.rpt" is available via download at this site, but i could not locate it. Please advise.

The final downloads will be available once I finish the book in a couple months. Right now this is just a rough draft and nothing is online yet.

Hmmm... I need to go back and revisit that section and clear things up. If you can't understand it, then it needs to be redone.

Ok, I see what is going on now. My goal was to give a quick and dirty way to create the report without having to take up a whole page describing each step of how to create the base report. But maybe that isn't such a good idea? I can see where it could be too big of an assumption for somebody new to Crystal Reports. I'll probably rewrite it before publishing the book.

I put the report on my server for you. Here is the link:

I would also like to get your feedback on the step by step instructions for the tutorials. Are they descriptive enough? Do they explain the topics well? Could they be improved?

Thanks.

thanks for the zip.
BTW your manual has been a very good guide for me as a first time CR guy.

i think its more valuable for you to show those steps on how you create that Sales By country and product type.rpt rather than completing one for me. That way i do not learn what you are trying to teach.

i reckon if you can spare the time to do so it will up the level of most users of CR.

thanks Smile

Glad the site has been helpful. Before I publish the book I'm going to go back and review all the tutorials to make sure they are complete enough for beginners to understand. But if you have any comments or suggestions as you read the book, please let me know.
