I have cast many numerical fields in my report to strings.  However, i noticed when i export to excel, excel reads the fields as string values.  Furthermore, i have formulas in my report that are like this:

if {DataTable1.No of Investments}>9999 then '*****' else toText({DataTable1.No of Investments},0)

The data on the excel export does not show the number but rather the asterisks.  Is there any way to change this upon export where the numerical values get cast back from strings into numbers SOLELY for the sake of excel export?

not that I am aware of...for that matter, you have basically no control over any export.

sorry can't be more helpful.
