Wonder if anyone has any idea's how to help me conquer:-

 

When the main report has detail to report and the subreport has detail = both bring back data

When the main report has detail to report and the subreport has no detail = main report brings back data

 

The main report is bringing back detail into the details section, the report is grouped by name which is also the link for the sub to main report. The subreport is held in the group header and the detail is being returned into the group footer via shared variables.

 

I've tried moving the shared variables to header and to detail sections and still returned no detail.
