Help

We have a load of reports which are saved onto a shared drive and users open them using a piece of software, when they open them, the "file name and path" field has loads of random characters in the reports name, i guess becuase it creates a temporary file. is there anyway of getting rid of this????

can always strip out the unwanted characters...if you just want the report name, find the last '\' and only print what is after it as the report name. instrrev should work for that...look in Help for more info/syntax

well, I guess the question is: "when they open them, the "file name and path" field has loads of random characters in the reports name".  What does this mean, and how are you using it?
