Running CR 10 Pro.

The following fields are included in my report tblSO.SONumber and tblSO.Status. The report is looking for records which match the following tblSO.Status's and records are grouped by this field as well:

Assigned to OPS
Assigned to CS
Open
On Hold
Passed to OPS

The question is...how can I show a count summary for each of the tblSO.Status's? In the sample data below "Assigned to OPS" would show a total of 1 SO's and "Open" would show a total of 4. I tried using Running Totals to accomplish this but I could not get it work properly.

Account     SONumber    Rep   Date_Created
-- Assigned to OPS
ABC          1234             John  4-Mar-09

-- Open
DEF           5678            Mary  5-Mar-09
GHI          1357             Mary  5-Mar-09
ABC          2468            Mary  10-Mar-09
JKL           1235            John   17-Mar-09

if you are just looking for totals at your Report Footer per Status use the running totals.

You will need to create one RT per Status Type.
Create a running total as "Open Total"
Field to summarize as a SO number
Type of Summary as a COunt or DistinctCOunt dependingon what you want.
Evaluate as a "Use a formula": tblSO.Status="Open"
Reset as Never.
Place in report footer to get your number (and add a text box as a label to keep track of which one it is).
Note:If you place in the GF it will only count the records that have been read up to that point in the report.
Repeat the process for each status and replace/change the formula to = the different possible types.
If you must have this in a header you will have to use formulas (or a chart).
if you need that process let me know.

DBlank,
Awesome! Your suggestion worked perfectly! Thank you very much for the clear direction you provided! I also included a bar graph chart in the report, which shows up nicely! Excellent work DBlank, thank you!
