I'm using XI.

I have a report set up as follows:

GH1    Fund Type
GH2    Fund                      Beg Bal     Revenues     Expenses     End Bal

The Beg Bal is from and Excel sheet because our database doesn't have the beginning balance.  The revenues and expenses are a sum of each.  I am having trouble getting the ending balance.

I'm using the following formula:

{Funds_.Balance}+ Sum ({@Revenues}, {global.FUND}) - Sum ({@Expenditures}, {global.FUND})

The formula adds the total revenues of all the funds to each fund instead of the fund it is associated with and subtracts the total expenses of the funds from each fund.

Fund               Beg Bal     +        Revenues     -    Expenses     =   End Bal
  200                1000                     200                    300                   800
  300                2000                     100                    200                 1800

What am I doing wrong?

you probably don't want global.fund as your condition, since it doesn't really change (i'm guessing), unless your table is global and the fieldname is fund.  Instead, use the GH2 name or the GH1 name, whichever is appropriate for whatever group you want to sum over.  By the name, I mean the condition that they are group by (often my is a formula name, but many times it is just a field in a table).

The only other thing I can see is that your last statement is confusing me ...

By this are you referencing the @revenues and @expenditures formulas or just your final calculation?
If it is referencing the above formulas and you have a sum on another sum that may be where the problem is.

The End Balance is not correct.  Instead of

100+200-50=250
200+300-100=400

The formula adds both the 200 and 300 (500) to each beginning balance and subtracts 50 and 100 (150) from each, so it's showing

100+200-50=450
200+300-100=550.
