You have detailsA and detailsB and your report is showing a blank line between them, correct?
This is proabably a join issue.
Try using the section expert and on both the DetailsA and DetailsB check the "Suppress Blank Section"

Use the Report Explorer to find the culprit and delete it.
Click on the Report Explorer Tab, expand each of the sections and look for the "Line" object. Once you find it you can right click on it and select delete to remove it from the report altogether.

Not sure what version of Crystal you are using but in XI in your Field Explorer will have a tab to switch it to Report Explorer. This may have been new to version XI.
YOu can also check under your View menu and see if the Report Explorer is available there.

Well, this makes it more difficult. I would use the preview mode to and look at the section listings on the left to try and figure out exactly where the line is to see if it is on a detail and which one if you have more than one, section a header or wherevever. From there you can try to see if it is at the top or bottom of that section. Then in design mode yuo could try to drag your mouse to select multiple objects to see if you grab it that way and then just delete it. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure you don't have an extra detail section that has been shrunk down so it looks like it is not there in design mode. Can't think of anything else right now.
