hello new to the forums here,

What Im trying to accomplish is I have a set of values(terminals) which are in a group which I want to check and see if each one of them are in a larger group then display the list of ones which aren't in the group..Is there an easy way to this

Basically its a set of reccords which are grouped by their corresponding terminal.(list A)

Then list b is a list of all of the terminals available in our system(which I would have to create) how to do this? how to make an array.

Then list out which values from list a aren't in list b.

Add ListB and ListA to the report.  Link FROM ListB TO ListA and change the link to a left outer join.  In your selection criteria, add {ListA.terminal_ID} is Null.

This will get you all of the terminals in B that don't exist in A.
