All of this is in the help files - CR has extensive date/time functions and all are clearly explained.

The date time functions do not give the fiscal ywar weeks, it would give the calender weeks. also i do not have a date on which i can group them in the DB. I need to create it on the fly and i did not find anything for fiscal there.

I need to create the fiscal start and end week manually. any hep there?

There are a couple of ways of tackling this.

The first is to create a fiscal week table with [Start_Datetime], [End_Datetime],[F_WeekNo] and another for fiscal quarter.(If you have not got access to the original DB you could create an Excel sheet and hook it up as a second DB).  Now you can pull in the fiscal week from the database using the select:

Select col1, col2, (SELECT [F_WeekNo] FROM [F_Weeks] WHERE [RecDate] >= [Start_Datetime] and [RecDate] < [End_Datetime]) As F_Week From [MainTable]

The other is to use - as you say - a formula in crystal.  Just Google it - there are plenty of solutions!
