I need to identify rows in a table for a certain studyid that have a rows existing with the value of CPT or no rows existing with a value of CPT. How can this be done in Crystal Reports? Thank you for the help!

Yes, you can identify this information. But how do you plan on using this identification? Will you be using it in a calclulation or simply highlighting the rows with different colors? Having a little more info will make it easier to know how to answer the question.

Thanks for the response. I just want these rows to be on the report. They will not be color coded or used in a calculation. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to tell Crystal to return rows for a particular id that have a value of CPT in a column, and also return that same id when there are no rows with the value of CPT.

So, here's an example:

ID     CODE
1      CPT
2      EXE
2      PTD
3      CPT

I want to return id's 1, 2 and 3. 1 and 2 since they have a code of CPT and 2 because it doesn't have a code of CPT.

This is a very simple example but hopefully it helps explain things a little bit better.

Thanks for the help!
