Since your are generally pulling data into crystal from a database, the default display is vertical or row based.  Is there a quick and dirty way to display a set of data as a column instead of row on the detail line?

Instead of displaying 3 instances of data in 3 vertical rows,Iwant to display gifthonorID, HonorName in such a way to handle 3 instances of the data.  For example:

gifthonorID1, HonorName1, GifthonorID2, Honorname2, GifthonorID3, HonorName3

I know there is a way to do this with a crosstab, but in this case we are putting the fields directly on the detail line because the report must be exportable as a spreadsheet

You can use the mailing label wizard and set it to print across the page. Or you could go into the Section Expert and for the Details section click the checkbox at the bottom to make it a multi-column report that spans across then down.

The checkbox is on the Section Expert window and it is called "Format with Multiple Columns". It is on the Common tab on the right side.
