I have a chart that i have placed on the report header of my report. I ONLY want this chart visible to a certain set of users when generated.

Basically as a parameter I pass in a role value. I ONLY want this chart to be visible to those users of a certain role number.
 
ASsuming, the chart is to be visible for users of role 1 and NOT visible to users of role 2....
 
Then if the role is 1 of the person generating the report, then the chart is displayed on the erport header. If the role is 2 of the person generating the report, then the chart is NOT displayed and also that space for the chart is supressed - basically jump straight to group header 1.
 
Is this possible?

yes, this is possible. Make sure the chart is the only object in a section (add a second section if you need to separate it) and then go to the Section Expert. For the Suppress property, click the conditional formatting button and enter a formula such as 

{?RoleParameter} = 2


This will suppress the chart when the role is equal to 2. I discuss many tips and tricks for creative report formatting in the "Advanced Formatting Techniques" chapter of my book Crystal Reports Encyclopedia.
