Hi ,

Below is the sample data ....

Suppose there is a field called country . so when u click of country , country names should be displayed ...

Initially
(+)country

After clicking country , data should be displayed in this way .

country
       India
       Austrailia
       Sri Lanka

Thanks

Hi...

Create Report with Region in details section and Country as Group

Right Click the Details Section and Select Hide (Drill Down...Ok)

Then when you click on County Heading you will get the region details....

it will open a new tab with the country name .....

Ok now fancy stuff

Go to Report -->Group Expert -->Select Group Country Options the Option Tab Customize Group Name Field Select x+2 use formula as group name enter

"(+)" + {Customer.Country}  in that

this will display + in front of country name...

Step2
Create a Text Object and Place it in Group Header Country
Right Click TextObject select formnat text then in common Tab

X+2 suppress   enter  drilldowngrouplevel= 0

Step 3

Create a formula say hidecountry name

enter
if DRILLDOWNGROUPLEVEL > 0  then
{Customer.Country}
else
{Customer.Country}
place that in the above text object

Step4
right click the text object and in then select the  SIZE AND POSITION then select X+2 next to x axis and enter

if drilldowngrouplevel =1 then
-3480
Cheers
Rahul

Unfortunately, CR can't do dynamic nodes like that. It treats a report like a piece of paper. Once it gets printed, you can't change it. You have to put the new data on a new piece of a paper (a tab in CR).

I think this is one among the drawbacks of crystal report because Nodes are also meant for displaying data ...

Thanks for replying

Sneha,

In main menu "file" there is a sub menu called "Report Options" in that please check wheter the "create group tree" option is checked. i think this will give a tree option.
Thanks
