Hi!
I got a report that shows different objects in a list, one of the fields shows a group ex. enviroment, maintenence or cars.
but on the reports in that field it shows
\enviroment\
\maintenence\
\cars\

i dont want it to show the backslash \
how do i suppress/hide only the \

do you want to suppress all the \? In that case you can create a formula

replace({table.field},'\','')

This is replacing the '\' with nothing, so it is removing them

Otherwise if you always want to remove the first and last character, write a formula like

mid({table.field},2,(lenght({table.field})-2)

Thanks for reply!
Its the first one i want  replace({table.field},'\','')

I put it in Selection formulas > Record and get this error message:
"The result of selection formula must be a boolean"

No, you should create a formula in your field explorer. After that, place the formula on your report where you want to show the object.

The record select is like the where clause in SQL. If data doesn't meet that criteria it isn't loaded into the report.
