Hi all,
This is a peculiar problem. My client leases software to this other company, let call it S. They recently switch the main office computer using this software from XP to Windows 7. Now, they cannot print in duplex mode on any of their duplex printers. Exactly the same software, etc. They have updated their drivers to the latest from the manufacturer (Kyocera for one, not sure about the other one)
This is an old legacy, windows 32bit application and it's using the CRPRE32.dll etc. However this has worked without a glitch for several years and my client is running the same printer as "S" without problems and on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 machines, no problem.
I have learned this morning that IF they change the settings in the printer properties via the "Device and Printers" window in Windows, it works in duplex. But if they change/set it inside the program it doesn't work.
Anyone have any clues as to where to look?
Best regards,

I don't see any settings in Crystal for adhering to default Windows printer settings vs. application printer settings.
Assuming client A is functioning as desired where client B cannot, and
they have the exact same OS and Crystal versions, it stands to reason
there is something on the OS level configuration more so than Crystal.
My guess is that they may need to launch Crystal with "Run as Administrator" and/or confirm they have administrative rights on the workstation if the printer settings do not stick when modifying them from the client. Windows 7 can be sticky about that sort of thing.
