My problem is one report has been developed and kept with a separate instance name.So now i am modifying the existing report in my system so wat i did is in my system the instance name is different. So if i add a new view to the database and try to add it in the report it is being added in a separate tree with different name as my instance name .So i changed the path for the whole database with my system instance using "set path" property of the CR.Now the problem is the report which was working good is not at all displaying any data..Plz help me

Ok i Found the problem..The problem was while i include a new view in the already created report extra links will be created for the old views or tables..so before adding a new table or view for a existing report we have to check it and then after adding we have to clear those new links which we dont wantthat the CR will create by itself.......Though it might be usefull for somebody.....

Ah, yes, that would do it.

Bizarrely enough, when I took Crystal training from Business Objects, the official stance was to always click Clear Links, and then recreate the links you want yourself.  Which really makes you wonder about why the program creates such bad links in the first place.
