I have a report with multiple groups.  The problem is that some of the groups will have no data.  I can't seem to suppress it correctly

What I need is:

GroupHeader1 Year
  GroupHeader2 Month
     Detail Days
  GroupTrailer1:  Message

But some Months won't have Days attached to it.

  Feb
   3
   5

If I suppress the GroupTrailer1:Message when Months<>Max(Months) then the Message appears in between the days. In this case, between Feb 3rd and Feb 5th

Suppress the Message when Days <>Max(Days) and the Message never appears at all when Days are empty

I tried an If Then Else statement but that didn't work either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The record will always have a Year.  The Year table contains the Message, which is a Text Field in that table.

Each Year will have one or more Months.

Each Month could have multiple Days or could have no Days attached to it.

If the record contains Days, then the report must show the Year, the Month, each Day, then the Message.
If the record has no Days, then the report should show the Year, each Month, then the Message.

I hope this makes more sense.......

simply by grouping and the existence of the data you should be fine...

Are you losing records because of a join or something?
