Hi

I have created an account listing report and created a subreport to deal with opening balances for each account.
When running the main report for a specific date range it may happen that no transaction is posted to some accounts but all accounts would have an opening balance (calculated in the subreport).
My problem is that if that happens the account will not be displayed at all in the main report even though it has an opening balance in the subreport. Can you please help?

Many thanks

Can you explain a bit technically, like how you are linking opening balances to main report, in which section you placed sub-report in main report, which section you placed opening balance formula in main report,..

Ok,will try...

Sub-report is an account listing grouped by account with the total per account. Paramethers: currency, FromAccount, ToAccount, ToPeriod.
The subreport records are run for the periods to <ToPeriod.
The total for each account is an opening balance in the main report.

The main report is exactly the same with additional paramether for Fromaccount. All parameters in sub report are linked to the same parameters in the main report.

The subreport is placed in the main report in GH1b under Group1 (account code GH1a). In order to show the correct opening balance under each account I also had to link AcctCode from the main report to data in subreport based on AcctCode field. I am not totally sure that this is the correct way as I automatically get additional parameter for account in thesub report but on the other hand the op balances are displayed correctly on the main report.

I can not figure out why the accounts with just opening balances are not showing in the main report. Your help very much appreciated.

Thank you

Oh and one more thing
The total from the subreport is passed to the main report as a shared variable, in GH1c.

Many thanks
