I'm creating a report for the State of California and have their specifications.  The specs have Print Line numbers for each line of data along with a range for the Print Positions on the page.

I am using Crystal 2008.  Is there a way to specify the Print Line and Position?

Thanks.

you could have a shared variable that would keep track of the line number and display it.

The formula, would look something like:
shared numbervar lineCount;
lineCount := lineCount + 1;
lineCount;

you could drop this any section.

If you need to reset after a group or on a new page you would just add a formula like:
shared numbervar lineCount := 0;
""  // will hide the display of the 0

I'm not sure what is meant by print location...so no help there.

Thanks, lockwelle.  I'll give that a try.  The print line is more important so what you gave me is very helpful.  The print location is the position of the text when counting character spaces from the left edge of the page.

Thanks again.
