Hi,

I am fairly new to this whole CR world so please excuse my ignorance.

I have watched a number of videos on the net to try and understand some of the functions in CR.

I need to create a Dynamic Parameter in CR XI

however when i try to select Dynamic it is greyed out...

Can some one please advise me....

I am using CR XI Standard

This is just because you are using CR XI standard version.  You need to upgrade your version to CR XI R2 or CR XI Professional.
 
Standard versin will not support dynamic / dynamic cascading parameters.
