I'm a new user of Crystal 11 R2 using Navision SQL database. In selecting table fields for my report I don't find fields that are calculated or value fields such as cost. sales, etc. I was told that since these are formula fields they would noy be available for Crystal Report writer. Does anyone have experience with this and how can it be overcome?

Are they calculated in stored functions in the database?  If so, you can do one of two things:

1.  If you're using the "standard" Crystal methodology of linking tables together in the report, you should be able to create a SQL Expression for each of these fields that you need.  A SQL Expression in this case would just use the same syntax from your database that you would use to pull that "field" in the Select clause of a query.

2.  Instead of linking the tables together, you could write a "Command", which is the full SQL Query that you would use to pull all of the data for your report.
