I am working on a report where i need to only display the clients whom have had more than 3 assessments.

i assume you have a pk for the assessment (e.g. table.assessid)
if you group on the client and insert an unduplicated count of the PK at the cleitn group level you can do a group select statemnt of
distinctcount(assessid,client)>3
