Help needed, i'm fairly new to crystal reports.Im currently doing a pricelist report. All parts are grouped by a machine field and the report works well.Im stuck now where i have a part that can be in multiple machines, this part number (a seperate field) therefore needs to be replicated under multiple machine headers.
Can anyone help?

If this is a stupid question i'll apologise in advance.

Thanks

Paul

you might try linking to the same table on the other field so you get duplicates (kindof)...i'm not sure if cr will let you bring in the same table twice and do a self join, that might do it.

of course a stored proc can easily duplicate the data.

Thanks for the response.

I may sound like a thicko here - In fact i know i do :)

do you have an example of a stored proc to achieve this.
All my parts are grouped by group options where productgroupno is equal to.

I suppose under that header id need an or statement refering to the part number, but im not sure where to add this code.

any help gratefully recieved..

Thanks

select *
from table as t1
  join table as t2
    on t1.partnumber = t2.partnumber
where t1.rowid != t2.rowid

the where clause is so that the exact same line doesn't display twice. Obviously rowid is just for the example, but this should duplicate the data as needed.
