	i would like to hight-light every other line so it looks like a green bar type report -but i only want it to go columun 'x' end of report not keep going on and on when i export to excel any ideas thank you

	conditionally change the background color of each field up to column 'x' condition as If (recordnumber Mod 2 = 0) Then Color (R,G,B) Else crNocolor; Edited by DBlank - 14 May 2012 at 5:28am

	great thanks i was thinking that could be only done on the line but that will work - takes a lot longer but it will make a nicer report - thanks again

	you can use the format painter or select all of the records and apply the format to them at the same time Edited by DBlank - 14 May 2012 at 5:50am
