Topic: Highlighting Duplicates in a Cross-Tab Report Posted: 25 Jan 2012 at 3:02am
Hello,
I have a cross-tab report which displays data in the following format:
PLATE1 PLATE2 PLATE3 PLATE4
A01 GT-01 HW-02 SG-93 AS-20
B01 GT-02 GR-07 SF-04 AF-45
C01 GT-03 ET-03 SL-12 WT-23
D01 GT-01 FR-02 FR-03 GT-01
the actual values will be much longer, but they are not numerical values.
What I would like to do is have the report highlight fields (it doesn't really matter how, as long as they stand out) when the same value is duplicated in any given row - as for Plate1/4 and D01 in the example above. It doesn't matter if the same value is duplicated within the same column (in fact it always will be, so I don't want this to be highlighted) or would appear in a different row.
I am very new to crystal reports - is this even possible?

there is one that i could think of you will have to create formula for each plate Number like plate1 if table.plate = 1 then table.data plate2
if table.plate = 2 then table.data etc
then right click on data field in your crosstab select format field go to font tab click on X-2 bottom next to color and putt a formula like if plate1 = [plate2,plate3,plate4....] then crgreen else if plate2 = [plate1,plate3,plate4....] then crgreen ..... this seems to work in my head but i haven't tested it.
