Hi all,

I can supress a field, if it has no data with the help of sections. Crystal report has 80 section limit, but my report is too long. Is there any way to move below fields to up, if the data is empty. The fields should be seen only in ONE detail section.

Thx..

you can 'display' the data in more than 1 section and then dynamically suppress its display...the same as you would for a section...go to the format object/general tab and use the x-2 button.

Thx for trying to help me, but as I said in previous post, I can supress any data using more than one section. What my point is to know if there is a way to supress the empty datas and fill the empty places with the non-empty datas in a single section.

p.s. : 80 section limit has resolved in crystal reports 10 and later. I do not know the exact limit, but it is more than 80.

and my response is yes...it just takes more work.

no you can't move the data, you need to define it in multiple places and trigger it's display dynamically.

if a section is empty you can reclaim it's space by the Suppress When Blank option in Section Expert (as well as suppressing the whole section if it doesn't meet criteria)
