Hi,

Wondering if someone has had the same problems as us or can think of anything to try. We have a legacy application which uses Crystal Reports 9 and are having some problems with the Viewer activeX control on the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

We have the latest service pack (7) for Crystal 9 installed, and have also found it necessary to disable DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in most cases. In some instances it works, but in others the report is blank. It can still be printed, exported, etc but just doesn't appear on the viewer, although the control is apparently functional otherwise.

Has anyone else seen this? Any clues or suggestions?
Thanks for any help. We're pretty much out of ideas now.

Robert.

As I recall Crystal 9 is not compatible with Windows 7 much less the 64bit version. However you might try using it in compatibility mode and tell 7 to pretend it's either XP or W2K for that program.Right click and hit properties and then the "Compatibility" Header and you'll see what to do.

Hi - thanks for the reply. We did try changing the compatibility settings but to no avail. I know it's an old version of Crystal but the report object code works fine and the viewer is ok apart from that (you can still print & export from it) so it's just this one issue we have.
