HI,

I have created a report using stored procedure with 5 parameters. Out of these parameters, 3 parameters are dynamic and linked to a sql query using command. This report is working fine in my development environment. We are connected to SQL Server using OLEDB.

Now when we are deploying the report in our UAT environment. We are changing the database and we are losing the parameters properties like prompt text, values, dynamic queries etc.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Stored procedures in Crystal are very picky - even more so it the schema owners or database name change.

How are you migrating the reports to UAT?  Are they a copy of the report from your Dev environment and the code handles changing the connection?  If so, you may want to open the rpt file from UAT and use Set Location to point the report to the UAT database (and eventually to the Prod database when you move it there.)  It can be a big hassle, but if that's what it takes to get it to work, then it will be worth it.

Hi hilfy,

Thanks for replying.

I am doing the same thing. I am trying to set new data source location. But when I do that, stored procedure doesn't get updated. If I click on stored procedure and then try to update it, parameters of the procedure are getting lost and new parameters are being generated.

Please try to help me.

Thanks
