Does anyone know if it's possible to have an SQL command with a where clause to filter your data and then also have additional filters in Crystal select expert. If so, in what order will the statements be executed? Doesn't make much sense to me to have both but I found a co-workers report build this way.

I've done this when the record selection is based on a complicated sequence of input parameter dates. The sql works first, and that is the data the report is working on overall. Then it is further restricted by the record selection.
