Hi,
 
I am using crystal reports XI, This is regarding an export problem if we export into excel, the column headers and the data are not aligning properly, i have 15 coulmns in my report, can any body suggest the solutions?
 
it is working fine if we export to pdf ..

There might be a more efficient way of doing this, but in earlier versions of CR this is how I was able to align the information when exported to excel.

 

Click on the field Column Name and Data field together, right click and size same width and align left. Then stack each field on the report close to one another without leaving any space. So that column name and data field are perfectly aligned. If you still get a blank column once exported, then you need to slightly overlap the data.

 

Again, someone else may be able to suggest a better way.

You can use the ruler at the top to line up fields exactly. Click on it and you get a little triangle (I don't know what its proper name is).
Any field below can be moved up to the line that indicates, and then the ends turn red. Two fields with red ends touching will export lined up.
We use this a lot when exporting to Excel formatted, it prevents cells merging that you didn't want to, and lines up fields in different sections easily.
