Hi
I have a daily report that brings back all accounts with a certain prefix and it works fine but i was wondering if there was a way that crystal can colour in red any new accounts that hadn't previously appered on the report? This is to enable me to quickly identify any new accounts that come online.

the only way crystal can do that is if you have data to compare it to. for example if you want to see accounts created after a specific date that can be done.
right click on the field
format field
go to the tab that has the color formula box on it.
in the formula enter
if {createdate}>='08/01/2011' then crred else crblack

If you need new account alerts throughout the day, then you would need to use a 3rd-party tool. See list at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html
For example, one of these tools allows you to schedule a burst process (e.g., every 5 minutes) whereby new account alerts are sent via email, but skip any new account that has already been alerted.
