Hello!

I'm very new to having to use Crystal Reports in conjunction with a proprietary ODBC database.  We've connected with this database and can run simple reports, but are having issues delving into more complex items.

At this time I need to run a report that returns all of our customers, the date of their most recent order, and the total amount of the order.

My database tables are as follows:

Customer:
ListID (Customer ID)

SalesOrder:
CustomerRefListID (ID of the Customer That Ordered)
TxnID (ID of the Sales Transaction)
TxnDate (Date of the Sales Transaction)
TotalAmount (Total amount of the Sale)

Please let me know if you need any other information!

create a group by customer id
then use the summary wizard by clicking on the TxnDate
create a maximum(TxnDate)
im not sure if you can create a group by that, but i know you can conditionally surpress a section if the txndate<>maximum(txndate)

Thanks for the response!  I'm looking into this and will let you know as soon as I am able to run a few tests.  I appreciate your help!
