Hi

I want to do the following using  crsytal report xi.

I have a table which contains the following info:

a) Product Code, b) CurrencyCode , c) FOBAMT , d) DocDate and e) DocNo

Each record in the table will have different or same currencycode by productcode.

The requirement is to print the report as follows

Product Code ( Group)

DocNo  DocDate  CurrencyCode   FOBAMT           ( Detail Printing)

     1         01/07/11  USD                     120
     2         01/07/11  SGD                     201
     3         04/07/11  USD                     120
     4         10/07/11  SGD                     205
      5         12/07/11 USD                     120

At the end of ProductCode Group break

we need to print the summary as

      CurrencyCode                   Sum (FOABMT)

           SGD                                406
           USD                                360

         Total                                766

At the end of the report to print the summary for all productcodes combine

CurrencyCode                   Sum (FOABMT)

           SGD                           99999
           USD                           99999

         Total                           99999

Any help will be greatly apprecated

what are you actually asking, how to do this?
you are grouping by product then doc #
you need a summary of currency code. create a formula that captures the value based on the code if currency code = sgd then fobamnt else 0
then you can sum those formulas.
if you need it be product code place summaries in there
then if you need it over all then place the summaries in the report footer

since this answered in another post recently, the statement was to make a cross tabs report for the summary.

The only problem that I see with sharona's answer is if there are lots of items to group by, it becomes a coding/maintenance headache, while a cross tabs is self maintaining.

you probably can't, not directly.  If a crosstabs object won't work, you will need to use a subreport...it's the only option left.
