Good Afternoon All,

I'm not even sure if this can be done, but here's the senario.

I'm looking to get two sets of queries on one report, preferably in chart form.

So, I have

query 1 that gets the total count of the number field based on open.time for last full week.

We're looking to get the number of tickets opened based on open.time.

Results

6/19  42
6/20  114
6/21  77

query 2 that gets the total count of the number field based on close.time for last full week.

We're looking to get the number of tickets closed based on close.time

Results

6/19  36
6/20  103
6/21  79

I need to show for example a chart showing 6/19 42 open 36 closed and show on.

Hope I didn't make this super confusing...

Running Query 1 and Query 2 seperately isn't a problem at all.  That much I know, just getting all the value into one report and then putting them in a chart is what the roadblock is.

do you want a stacked bar chart, side by side bar chart, something else?
when you say "query 1" and "query 2" what you mean? a command, a sql view, something else?

A side by side chart. By query I just mean like running report 1 and report 2, using Select Expert, groups, and summaries.

ahhh,
I will assume you have one table with 3 fields (or more)
a PrimaryKey (PK)
a start datetime
an end datetime
You are counting starts by grouping on the startdatetime in one report (set to daily)
You are counting ends by grouping on the end dattime in another report (set to daily)
is that accurate?
Do you have rights to writing a view or stored proc in from your source?

That's Perfectly accurate.  Unfortunatly i dont have rights to write stored procedures on the database.  So got to thinking, don't see another way other than exporting both reports data only into excel.  Copying the data manually into a new excel with the values (keeping the date common) and let Crystal read the excel as the data source.

Since this is a once time report its not so bad, if it becomes a daily report then I guess you were saying going the stored procedure way?

you can use a crystal command to union the data togetehr into a single data set or query it the same data set twice and join the queries togther for use in one chart
