i have a field ven_name of which i need to outpur with "" 
Example: "Doe, John"
next detail line "Doe, Jane"
what would be the formula to make this happen?Confused

try creating 2 formulas 1st name it (")
totext("'")+totext("'")
2nd your name choice 
{@"}+totext(ven_name)+{@"}
