I need a formula to give me  date_of_birth if the client is less than 1 year old

not sure what data you have, but it something like this
if (Currentdate-birthdate(field))/365.5<1 then bithdate(field)

if(currentdate-({patient_current_demographics.date_of_birth}))/365.5 <1 then ({patient_current_demographics.date_of_birth})
