My Crystal XI report looks like this after summarizing hourly data:

ABG

 0500     1

 0600     1

 0700     3

 0900     2

XYZ

 0300     5

 0700     10

I need it to look like this:

        0000  0100  0200  0300  0400  0500  0600  0700  0800 0900

ABG    -        -         -         -        -        1        1        3         -       2

XYZ    -        -          -        5        -        -         -       10        -       -

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I would suggest cross-tabs report, but I am not sure how to ensure that all columns are present.

you could create this using variables, but it won't be pretty.
you could probably also do it using running totals if you like them more.

for the variables, you would need as many as the hours you are tracking (so 24 ifyou are tracking a complete day)
1)in the group header you would set them all to 0
2)then in your detail section, you increment the correct variable for the time of day
3)in the group footer you would display each variable in the column desired.

Thanks HRH. Since I'm new to Crystal Reports, can you give any more detail on 3) the group footer section?

since you have a whole bunch of shared variables in the increment like:
shared numbervar x;

in the group footer just display them:
shared numbervar x;
x
