Hello everyone,

I got a problem of writing formula for the clamp page footer. Can anyone let me know how to write a formula to clamp page footer only in page 1 but not in other pages.
I tried a formula:
if pagenumber=1 then true else false. But throwing an error saying "a constant expression required" for the pagenumber.

i do not know what you mean by 'clamp'.
If you are trying to conditionally suppress it on page one only just use:
pagenumber=1

Yes, it appeared in 2008. Never saw it in XI.
If you only have 5 records on your page, instead of having a full-size page with the footer at the very bottom (lots of white space), it would omit the whitespace and display the page footer immediately.

Unfortunately with the restrictions on the formula it doesn't seem possible.

It requires all conditions to be constant values, so you can't have stuff like pagenumber, number of records, etc.
