I was wondering if I could get help creating a formula that will suppress/prevent showing employees in the report who were retired and rehired with two employee ID's (i.e. ID given prior to their retiring and a new ID given when they were rehired).

how do you know they are the same person using the data only? IS it a dupe SSN with different employee ids?

if you group on the SSN and do a distinct count of the empoyee id number under that you can do a group select statement to exclude anything with a count>1 (or suppress as well)

group select statement option
DistinctCount ({table.EmployeeID}, {table.SSN})=1
Suppression statement for GH,detail and GF sections
DistinctCount ({table.EmployeeID}, {table.SSN})<>1
