So I have a report as following:

Time period 08/01/201 - 08/18/2010

customer total orders total payments

Numberone 25 $1778.99

Year-to-Date Numberone 1500 $1889999.00

Year-to-Date starGroup 788 $20888.00

Year-to-Date Climax ind. 454 $13000.00

starGroup 25 $1778.99

Year-to-Date Numberone 1500 $1889999.00

Year-to-Date starGroup 788 $20888.00

Year-to-Date Climax ind. 454 $13000.00

Climax ind. 25 $1778.99

Year-to-Date Numberone 1500 $1889999.00

Year-to-Date starGroup 788 $20888.00

Year-to-Date Climax ind. 454 $13000.00

Year-to-date is actually from beginning of the given year to end range. and its running in a subreport.
I have the first column values in group header. and subreport is in group footer. grouping is on customer.
Is there a way I can get the data to show up accordingly? For example after customer "numberone" i only want the Year-to-date data for "numberone" and not rest of the customers. then after customer "starGroup" the data for year-to-date "stargroup" shows up and so on? I am having trouble splitting the subreport accordingly with the main report.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Carpdiem

put a filter in the subreport based on the customerID and then link the subreport to the main report on the same field.  Then when the subreport runs, only the desired customer will be displayed.

basically you create a parameter in the subreport and then when you right click on the subreport from the main report you can 'change links' and that is where you would 'join' / 'link' a subreport and the main report.

as with any parameter, you would use it to filter the data in the subreport so that only the desired information is displayed.
