I have what I hope is a simple question.  I have a cross-tab that uses dates for columns and some fields for rows.  I use one of the row fields for sorting but I really don't need the column to show up in the cross-tab.  So, I suppressed it.  However, the column doesn't really go away.  The cells are all blank but they are still there.

I tried doing a custom sort without having that field as one of the rows but it apparently, if it isn't in the cross-tab, you can't sort by it, which makes sense.  I tried to set the width of any and all of the cells for that field to 0, which didn't work. 

How can I make the blank column go away? (or is that really not possible...)
