I have made a crystal report in that ,
Some of the fields contain a lot of data, so I have set each fields CanGrow property to true. My problem is that the border around each field has different height - is there a setting where I can get the height of all borders to be of equal size (e.g. all fields are as large as the biggest one)

No, there's no way to do this with the borders. However, you could turn all of the borders off and replace them with lines. For the line that goes under the fields, create a new section below the one that contains the data and draw a horizontal line in it. This way it will always appear below the data, no matter how large your fields grow.
