Hi,

In crystal i need to calculate percentage . For that i need to get the running that appears in the last record.

For Eg:

Running total will be displayed like based on grouping

Group Total 10

Group Total 11

Group Total 12

I want to get the 3 running total i.e total to calculate percentage.

Data sample:

Name       Subjects    Marks  Percentage

    John         English      100
                     Maths        50
                     Science      50
     Total A      200                (Total A/ Total A + Total B) * 100
    @total=200

     Klin           English      50
                     Maths        50
                     Science      50

                     Total  B        150   (Total B/ Total A + Total B) * 100
     @total=350

I need to get 350 to calculate percentage.

Please suggest some idea or formula to apply

thanks in advance

I don't know about Running Totals, that is DBlank's forte, but your formulas won't work, for the first one you get 20100 and for the second 15100.  What you want is (totalA/(totalA + totalB)) * 100 (same for the second)

If you reallya re using a Crystal Running Total you can not reference a Running result that occurs below the level you are at in the report.
Meaning you cannot use Total B in group level A because it literally does not exist yet.
That is why in the other post I recommended you use the Insert Summary option which does allow for this type of earlier reference.
