Hi

Using Access 97, on a query field, I can put in say

<>123 OR Is Null

This will pull out any record that isn't 123 or anything that has a null value.  It works fine on Access.

However, on Crystal Report / Formula Editor, using this same method doesn't produce the same result.  For example, if I use

<> 123 or IsNull - this won't pull put record with null values.
<> 123 AND IsNull - this one will produce zero record.

The reason for the Null values is because I have other tables (from Accounting Office) that doesn't send data back to (another application called Integra), so I wanted to this information(null values returned)  included on a particular field on Integra database.

i also tried this but doesn't work either.

(IsNull({table1}) or ({table1}<>123))

Any ideas??

crsyala requires that you use ths isnull statement first. For record selewction it goes in the select expert
isnull({table.field}) or {table.field}<>123

make sure in yuour report options and the formula that you have it set to use NULLs and not to use default values for NULLs
