I am trying to build a set of labels for some work kits. I need  multiple labels for one location but the location is only in the table one time. I will need to base the number of labels off a formula that I built, which is the number of people expected at that location divided by 1000. I don't want to print the extra labels that will go to waste when some location can get one while others can get up to 9 or 10. Is there a way for crystal to return multiple labels based off the formula? Thanks for any input.

ok, this is a slick trick that someone posted here.  The part that i don't know about is building the table. We have one in our DB, the poster had it in Excel or Access or something as I don't recall....

you have a table that is just numbers 1 to 1000 let's say.

You join your location to the numbers table based on your formula. In SQL this is easy, in CR, you would need to use a command that would give the location and the number of labels desired, then join this to the numbers table.

so you have the table with location
joined to command with the location and the number of label (on the location)
joined to a table of numbers where the number <= (to the function value of the last command)  [this is how you get the multiple rows]

should work, the hard part is the numbers table, and that can be brought in from Excel and looks like:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7 etc

Thanks that worked, I did have to change joined properties of the table of numbers where the number >=, in stead of <=. Thanks for your help.
