Hi,

A workaround will be ,Insert Text Object in Group Footer and the set the height of the Text box to 3.000 or maybe 0.333

This will create 1/3 of width and footer of the group will print a third way down....

I am not sure exactly what value will be for 1/3 height ..... 3.000 ,0.333 just a guess

Cheers

That would work if the section above was always the same size what if the section above grows and shrinks depending on the data.

Did you test the workaround???

because as Group Footer is independent of the details section which will print above the GF section,I don;t think that should make a difference.

I tested with customer table from Adventure sample database and the GF section always prints at same distance i.e. 3.000 even if the details section has 1,2 or more then 2 records.....

Cheers
Rahul

Yah i tested this and as the details section drows in line count it drives the footer lower and lower...

If this isn't an option can i make the details section always print the same number of lines even if there is not enough data?

Say i want to print 17 detail lines even though i only have 5 lines with actual data in it?

Hi,

Create formula

Frm1
whileprintingrecords;
numbervar cnt := cnt + 1;

Go to Details Section right click Select Section Expert  and  Click X+2 button against New Page After and enter

not onlastrecord and
remainder(
{@cnt},10) = 0
Cheers

Hello Rahul,
thank you very much for your immidiate response to my request.
However it seems to be a small issue with this formulla you suggested.
The programm doent recognise these formulas! both of them.
In the first formula Frm1 it says that the formula cannot be evaluated at the time specified.
In the second formula in the Details Section It says that there is an error, and this field name is not known (at that point it shows between ( and {.
Sorry to bother you again, but i am ready to start hitting my head against the wall!
Thanks..
