I need some direction on how to design this report. I am trying to create a report for our call center managers that will show various call volume statistics broken down by hour, totaled by hour, and give a grand total as well.

In this particular instance the canned reports won't work because it breaks things down into 15 minute intervals or runs it for the whole day. Both of these reports give grand totals but they are not broken down by hour.

Connecting to the data source and getting the first hour of the day to run and report correctly is not a problem. However, since I will be using the exact same fields for different time frames is where I am getting stumped. Will I have to create a subreport for each individual hour of the day to accomplish this?

Thanks In Advance

Create a group based on whichever datetime value you want to go by.  In the Group Expert, click on Options.  At the bottom of the screen that comes up, you will see something like Group Records By and a drop-down box.  Change the drop-down box to "for each hour."  That should do it for you!

Look in the Database Expert under the Database menu.  You can also use the View SQL Query under the same menu, but it's a little more difficult to read if you don't know SQL.
