In the Crystal Reports XI i can write a SQL query with the help of SQL Expression workshop (just like Formula Workshop and parameter field)...

Am writing a query with this SQL Expression field and am using it in the reports.
And similarly i have a automated query running for the Report Generation parallel to the query which i created in SQL Expression field.
When this happens the Crysta Reports shows and error as the two queries are contradicting.

Will someone be able to explain what is the difference/similarity between the two queries : Automatically generated queries which creates the reports and the Queries which we create using the SQL Expression field.
Where can we use this SQL expression queries with out any errors.

Thank You !!
Thanks,
Siddhu.

SQL Expression fields are meant to be part of the query by design. If it is generating an error (it would have been helpful to tell us the error), then there is something else going on with the database or the way the data is being derived. You will have to research why the two queries conflict with each other on a database level.
